Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
INNER WHEEL came to Pakistan in 1962 with the formation of the Inner Wheel Club of Karachi (IWC). IWCs from around the world give an insight into the enormous amount of work being done by members, particularly in helping children who are disadvantaged, uneducated and abused. The expansion and improvement in the quality of education in Karachi's low income areas is a key objective of Inner Wheel Club of Karachi. However, without giving priority to early education in the country there is no possibility of broadening the base of higher education. In this connection the project to establish an 'Early Learning Center (ELC)' in Korangi, Karachi, is a clearly understood initiative. Intended to serve the needy and downtrodden people of the area. The club also intends to establish a vocational training center for women within the school premises.
